6th GFETW Will Be Announced In Spring 2018

The International MCS Network will announce the 6th GFETW in Spring 2018!

The Global Fisheries Enforcement Training Workshop (GFETW) is the only global conference specifically for practitioners in the field of fisheries enforcement such as MCS experts, inspectors, law enforcement specialists and other monitoring, control and surveillance (MCS) officers.  From 2005 onwards, the Network has organized five Global Fisheries Enforcement Training Workshop (GFETWs).  The first Workshop was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in July 2005; the second, in Trondheim, Norway in August 2008; the third, in Maputo, Mozambique in March 2011; the fourth, in San José, Costa Rica in February 2014; and the fifth, in Auckland, New Zealand in March 2016.  The location for the 2019 GFETW will be announced by the end of the spring.
