Attendance Support

Fisheries inspectors at market in Fiji

The Network is about our people, those that work at the forefront of fisheries MCS, compliance and enforcement. We believe that it is important to directly support these individuals including by providing opportunities to attend global events. The Network works with members, observers and partners to secure funding to support developing country member participation at the Workshop.

In 2023, the Network worked with Australia, Canada, the Pacific Islands Forum Fisheries Agency (FFA), Global Fishing Watch, Skylight-AI2, TM-Tracking and the United States to secure support for 25 individuals from ten of our developing country members. This type of support is essential if we are to ensure that events like the Workshop are accessible to those that work at the forefront of fisheries MCS, compliance and enforcement. The next Workshop will be held in 2026 and the Network hopes to secure support for even more developing country members and we invite any organization with an interest in funding participation to contact us.

In the lead up to the 2026 Workshop, we will invite those with an interest in securing support to apply via our website and will keep our community updated as and when funding is secured.
