Abstract
The sustainable management of oceans is under scrutiny due to overconsumption, declining fish stocks, and weak conservation, prompting performance reviews of RFMOs. These reviews highlight issues like delayed implementation of science-based harvest strategies and the need for precautionary, cooperative, and well-regulated approaches. The article explores how coercive, normative, and mimetic pressures influence RFMO actions and evaluates their progress through recent performance assessments. https://www.mdpi.com/2071-1050/13/15/8128
