The IMCS Network, in collaboration with TMT, has developed a series of MCS Practitioner Guides designed to strengthen operational understanding across major industrial fishing, support vessel and gear types. 

These guides provide practical, field-ready information to assist those working directly in MCS and compliance. They serve as valuable reference tools for operational staff, helping to build technical capacity and promote consistent approaches across jurisdictions. 

Beyond frontline practitioners, the guides also support trainers, analysts and partners across the broader fisheries MCS community and contributing to more effective, informed and coordinated compliance efforts worldwide.

Fish Talk

Fish Talk is a free app that has been developed by the Australian Fisheries Management Authority to break down the language barrier during at-sea and in-port inspections of foreign fishing vessels. The Fish Talk app supports the exchange of information by providing translations of key English phrases commonly used by fisheries officers into written and spoken Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, and Spanish. The app also includes technical diagrams and reference images as well as other features to support the user.
