This article describes an analysis of the Port State Measures to combat IUU fishing activities. The authors note the PSMA is only one tool available to MCS practitioners and in order for successful implementation the issues remain that there is insufficient vessel information, there a lack of compliance by port States and there is an absence of consistent port State measures across regions.
