Far from Home - Distance Patterns of Global Fishing Fleets

Abstract
The authors look back at the historical movements of vessels in their effort to catch fish. Over time with the advancement in technology and heavy subsidies, more and more vessels travel great distances to catch fish highlighting that approximately 90% of the world's oceans are now fished yet there has been a decline in catch since the mid-1990s.
