Stolen at Sea - How Illegal Saiko Fishing is Fueling the Collapse of Ghana's Fisheries

Abstract
Saiko is the local name for illegal fish transshipments in Ghana, where industrial trawlers transfer frozen fish to specially adapted canoes out at sea. This briefing provides an overview of the current scale and impact of saiko, based on extensive quantitative and qualitative fieldwork in country.
